Emily Hull – Blog Contributor
Emily Hull is a writer, and food is her muse. Food leads her to all sorts of places in her life. For example, three years ago, her devotion to chocolate led her to the Ph.D. program in English at Oklahoma State University. Under the guidance of her forward-thinking professors, she wrote several papers involving the relationship between chocolate, language and thought.
She eventually extended her research interests to studying food stories and their relationship to identity. In addition to her scholarly work, she created a blog called, Meringue and Memories, where she explores the stories her family—and others—have to share about food, recipes and their recollections of both.
Emily grew up in Paragould, Arkansas. She now lives in Stillwater, Oklahoma with her husband, Matt, and their two dogs, Biscuit and Gravy.
