Last night we had the amazing fortune, courtesy of Sam Herec, to experience an unforgettable meal in the care of the incomparable Chef Joe Letteri. Over seven incredible courses, Chef Letteri proudly told us stories about his dishes inspired by family recipes, including the handmade prosciutto (topped with an asiago cheese cracker and pictured above) from his family’s butcher shop in the North End, a 56-year endeavor. It was hands down the best prosciutto I have ever had. The tiramisu, the last course, was made by his mother from a family recipe. I regret to say that it was consumed too quickly to be photographed.
